Profhilo is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment designed to remodel the skin, improving texture, hydration and firmness from within. It spreads evenly across the tissue, making it extremely effective for treating crepey, lax, dehydrated or ageing skin, especially in areas where traditional fillers may look unnatural.
Profhilo is ideal for:
Face
Neck
Décolletage
Hands
Upper arms or areas with crepey skin
The result is radiant, firmer skin that looks well-hydrated and fresh, without adding volume.
Profhilo Structura is the latest advancement in the Profhilo family, engineered specifically for deeper tissue support and structural lifting, especially in the mid-face and jawline.
Unlike classic Profhilo (which focuses on skin quality and hydration), Profhilo Structura:
penetrates deeper into the subcutaneous fat layer
improves skin firmness and elasticity by strengthening tissue support
adds subtle lift to areas affected by volume loss, sagging or hollowness
Structura is particularly suited to:
loss of mid-face structure
early jowling or jawline definition concerns
soft-tissue sagging without wanting filler
patients seeking regenerative lift, not volume
It is ideal for those who want an improvement in contour and support, without changing facial shape.
Many patients start with Profhilo to restore skin quality, then progress to Structura for deeper support, or combine the two as part of a regenerative treatment plan. For patients with more advanced volume loss, Sculptra offers a longer-term collagen-stimulating alternative.
Both Profhilo and Profhilo Structura are injected using a precise series of points that allow controlled release of hyaluronic acid. The product disperses naturally, stimulating collagen and elastin, improving hydration and restoring elasticity.
Treatments are quick (around 20 minutes) and involve minimal downtime, making them ideal for patients seeking visible improvement without disruption to daily life.
Intense, long-lasting hydration
Improvement in fine lines and crepey texture
Firmer, tighter, more elastic skin
Subtle lifting effect (Structura)
No added volume, esults appear natural and “undone”
No change to facial expressions or facial shape
Skin looks healthier, dewier and more refined, not “treated.”

If you’re looking for fresher, smoother, more radiant skin — without volume — Profhilo® and Profhilo Structura® are powerful, regenerative options. Book your consultation with Dr Sharon today to explore the best treatment plan for your skin goals.
All treatment begins with a consultation with Dr Sharon. She will assess your skin, discuss your goals, and confirm whether Profhilo®, Profhilo Structura®, or a combination is the right fit. Topical anaesthetic is applied to the area before treatment to keep the experience comfortable.
Treatment takes around 20 minutes. Profhilo® and Profhilo Structura® are injected through a precise series of points that allow the hyaluronic acid to disperse evenly and stimulate collagen and elastin in the surrounding tissue. The face, neck, décolletage, hands, or upper arms can be treated, depending on your concern. Most patients find the procedure quick and comfortable, with mild pressure at each injection point rather than significant pain. All Profhilo® and Profhilo Structura® treatments at McKeown Medical are performed by Dr Sharon Ritchie, our aesthetic doctor specialising in regenerative and bio-stimulatory injectables.
Downtime is minimal. You may notice small raised bumps at the injection points, particularly after classic Profhilo®, which typically settle within a few hours. Most patients return to normal activities the same day. Avoid touching the area, applying makeup, or vigorous exercise for the rest of the day, and avoid saunas, steam rooms, or sun exposure for 24 hours. Results build gradually over six to twelve weeks as new collagen and elastin form. Treatment is typically delivered as a course of two sessions, four weeks apart, with maintenance every six months recommended to sustain the result.
Profhilo® is a skin remodelling injectable that targets skin quality, working in the upper layers of the skin to improve hydration, firmness and elasticity. Profhilo Structura® is the latest evolution of the formulation, engineered to work deeper in the subcutaneous fat layer, where it strengthens tissue support and adds subtle structural lift to areas affected by volume loss, early jowling, or mid-face sagging. Many patients start with Profhilo® to restore skin quality and progress to Structura® for deeper support, or combine the two as part of a regenerative plan. For more advanced jowling that won’t respond to regenerative treatment alone, see our guide to the best procedure for jowls.
No. Profhilo® and dermal filler do different jobs. Filler adds volume to specific areas to restore lost contour. Profhilo® doesn’t add volume at all. It releases pure hyaluronic acid into the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin, improving overall skin quality and firmness. Many patients combine the two: filler for structure where it’s needed, Profhilo® for skin remodelling across larger areas. Your treatment plan will be built around what your skin actually needs.
Results build gradually as the hyaluronic acid stimulates new collagen and elastin. Most patients begin to notice improved hydration and firmness within two to four weeks of the first session, with the full result developing over six to twelve weeks. Profhilo® and Profhilo Structura® are typically performed as a course of two sessions, four weeks apart, to achieve the optimal outcome.
After a full course of two sessions, results typically last around six months. Maintenance treatments every six months are recommended to sustain the improvement in hydration, firmness and elasticity. Because Profhilo® stimulates your own collagen production, the longer-term effect on skin quality continues to compound with consistent treatment.
