Non-surgical alternative to liposuction
Fat-freezing is the non-surgical alternative to liposuction that actually works. Although there are many copy-cat versions on the market, we only utilise the gold standard patented CoolSculpting device from Allergan.

The cost of the treatment varies according to the size of the area being treated and the amount of fat that needs to be removed. Each treatment area treated by one applicator head is referred to as a treatment ‘cycle’.
What we have learned about CoolSculpting® is that to achieve the most impressive results, it is necessary to combine multiple treatment cycles using a range of different applicator heads to create a bespoke plan tailored to your body shape.
Usually, multiple treatment cycles are performed at a single treatment session, although sometimes two separate sessions – four weeks apart – are suggested.

Your CoolSculpting® consultation
In addition to the incredible fat-freezing technology, we also have a dedicated CoolSculpting® team in our clinic headed up by Dr. Rhona Cameron. Dr. Rhona sees all of our CoolSculpting® patients for their initial fat reduction consultation and assessment.
At the consultation, she examines and measures the fat pads and creates a bespoke non-invasive treatment plan to suit each person’s individual needs. This is a critical part of the treatment process: there are no treatments by the standard protocol in our clinic. Every treatment plan is tailored to your specific needs.
Since being cleared by the FDA in America – widely considered to be the most rigorous medical device regulator in the world – CoolSculpting has been approved to treat unwanted fat in the following areas:

What Areas Can Be Treated With CoolSculpting®?
Anywhere on your body that you have fat you can pinch (or grab), we can treat.
When CoolSculpting® was originally launched it came with one treatment applicator head, which allowed the machine to freeze large chunks of tissue such as lower belly fat or love handles.
Since then, the applicator heads have been redesigned to make them more effective and efficient with regards to body shape. Some treatments can be completed in as little as 35 minutes with the new design, whilst more awkwardly shaped areas – such as the double chin or ‘bra fat’ – can be treated with new custom-designed handpieces.
We have invested in a full stock of all applicator heads, assisting us in the process of customising the treatments specifically to each individual.
As well as the full range of applicator designs, we also have three CoolSculpting® machines which allow us to treat multiple areas simultaneously, quickly, and effectively without the downtime or risks of surgery.

What Is The CoolAdvantage Petite™ Applicator?
The latest addition to the CoolAdvantage applicator family – the CoolAdvantage Petite™ – is specifically designed to treat the upper arm area in just 35 minutes.
It has been created with two interchangeable contours which safely and effectively treat the unique shape of the upper arms. Due to its small shape and size, it’s also versatile enough to tackle small pockets of fat on other areas of the body too, such as the knees.
How Soon Will I See Results?
It takes a little while for full results to appear since the body needs to go through the process of programmed cell death and elimination of the breakdown products.
You can normally start to see results after around 4 weeks, although it takes up to 4 months to see the full results.

How Long Does CoolSculpting® Fat Reduction Last?
Since we have become accustomed to non-surgical procedures being a temporary fix – for example, wrinkle relaxing injections last for 4 months or fillers last between 1 to 2 years – many people assume that the same is true of CoolSculpting®.
Actually, this is not the case. CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive fat reduction treatment that lasts.
When the fat cells are destroyed by the cryolipolysis process, they are gone forever. So long as you maintain your current body weight, the contour will remain the same – similar to the longevity of liposuction.
What Is CoolSculpting® Fat Loss Treatment?
CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive, fat-freezing (cryolipolysis) treatment that is scientifically proven to work in reducing fat cells as a body contouring method – similar to liposuction.
The results are long-lasting and noticeable.
CoolSculpting® works by precisely cooling the temperature of the tissue to a predetermined level whereby it is possible for the overlying skin to survive, but not the underlying fat cells.
The fat cells then undergo a program of controlled cell death known as ‘apoptosis’ and are naturally eliminated from the body over a number of weeks following the treatment.
This results in a noticeable and long-lasting reduction in the unwanted fat bulge without a need for surgery or to change your diet and exercise routine.

How many treatment cycles will I need?
The exact number of treatment cycles really does vary from person to person, according to the size and shape of the individual fat pads.
