Varicose veins can potentially return after treatment, though the likelihood varies depending on the type of treatment.

Endovenous treatments – radiofrequency, laser and VenaSeal™ – all have a similar rate of recurrence, which is around 5%.

The rate of recurrence is much higher if you treat the main vein – the long saphenous vein – using foam injections, which is why we only use foam in our practice for treating smaller superficial veins.

If your veins come back, then you can of course choose to have them treated again.

We offer a range of treatment options for varicose veins including VenaSeal™ – the most up to date method of treating varicose veins that causes less pain and allows you to get back to normal almost immediately, without the hassle of wearing bandages or compression stockings.

Get in touch with our friendly team and we’ll help you find the right varicose vein treatment for you.

So this is where the magic happens on Bath Street!

This is my own treatment room, just off my fancy new office. I have to say, it's an absolute dream to work here. I've already treated over 100 patients on this chair so far this week.

Who's up next week?
I was asked by Hello this week to comment on something I think the whole world has been talking about - Lindsay Lohan's new face.

Although Lindsay has never talked about cosmetic treatments, and I don't want to be too critical of something that is essentially a private matter for her, I think we have all seen her face looking bloated in recent years consistent with excess use of fillers.

Believe it or not, Lindsay is only 38, but she looks like she's been having a lot of filler for a long time. I think she has had the filler removed, and a surgical facelift - which is a pretty early stage in life such a radical treatment. Does this mean that fillers are bad? No, quite the opposite. Fillers are very effective and powerful when used appropriately, in the right doses, at the right stages in life.

I think Lindsay is a cautionary tale of what can happen if you get too much too soon. I am however delighted that she is looking so great and seems to be doing so well in life again!

Ok, so you all know we love a bit of Christmas in the clinic. So it stands to reason that the Christmas tree was one of the most important priorities given that we have moved in November!

We went for some dusky pink colours on the tree to complement the accents of pink in the waiting room. I have to say, I am especially loving this year's efforts!

We've just finished our first day in our new home and what a day!

Our patients are absolutely loving it and have been taking selfies all over the place - bathroom selfies have been particularly popular with our custom made marble sinks!

It's been an exhausting marathon to get here, but seeing the smiles on our patients’ faces today makes it all worth while! Excited for all of you to see it in person, but I will post some more snaps throughout the week!
Thank you to this lovely patient for allowing us to share these photographs.

This is before and just 14 days after laser resurfacing for the lower eyelids. Laser resurfacing is the gold standard for tightening the eyelid skin and removing fine lines and wrinkles under the eyes.

We think her eyes look incredible already. What do you think?
Thank you SOOO much to our incredible patient Pauline who documented her laser treatment in a video diary to show you what the recovery is like.

Pauline had our favourite BBL / Halo combo which is a great option for patients who want a noticeable improve in their skin quality, but don't have the downtime (or stomach!) for full field resurfacing.

We posted Pauline's incredible before and afters a couple of weeks ago, but this is an insight into the 'during'. What do you think?
